About CT Cocktail Car

Some years ago, my wife and I were trying to decide where to have our wedding ceremony. We tossed around the idea of having casual, food truck-style service at a farm or winery, but since I come from a bar background, I needed the drinks to be special and I didn’t want the bar to feel like an afterthought. We ended up scrapping the farm idea and had a blissful wedding on the beach. But that started the wheels turning, so to speak.

In the 80’s my father owned a shop that focused on old VW’s and my grandfather had an orange VW Bus that, around the same time, sat in his driveway. I thought since anyone who was alive in the 70’s or early 80’s probably has a story about a VW Bus, why not bring my passion for drinks on the road and hear some of those stories?

VW Buses were built to do so many things! Going fast, however, was not one of them. That’s OK, though, because we’re carrying some special cargo. No matter what type of event the CT Cocktail Car is doing for you, know that care has been taken to ensure we are using the good stuff. Smaller distilleries and wineries, fresh juices, fruits and herbs, craft beer, block ice, fancy barware and of course, the talented individuals who shake and stir it for you.
